About this place
This walk was created around the GR 351, which follows the Blaise valley for 43 kilometres. The route runs partly alongside the river, then climbs to reveal rolling landscapes and surrounding meadows.| The Blaise valley is a peaceful river flowing through the village of Saint-Ange-et-Torçay. You'll discover its meanders along the way, where natural and cultural heritage blend beautifully. It winds for around fifty kilometres between the Senonches state forest and the Eure, north of Dreux, where it meets the river. Many water mills are still visible along the route, and brown trout fishing is popular with enthusiasts. The history of the village of Saint-Ange-et-Torçay in the Thymerais was marked by fierce fighting during the war of 1870, after Dreux was taken by the Prussians. Circuit created with the support of the Comité Départemental de Randonnée Pédestre d'Eure-et-Loir. Follow the yellow waymarks. Dogs allowed on a lead.
