Specific rules
Lead compulsory on the beach from 1 April to 14 June. From 15 June to 15 September: dogs prohibited (the Caen la mer tourist office specifies a prohibition from 9 am to 7 pm · so tolerance may be possible early in the morning and in the evening). From 16 September to 31 March: dogs permitted. Picking up dog mess is compulsory. Dog swimming possible outside supervised zones.
