About this place
The second-largest artificial lake in France after Serre-Ponçon, Pareloup covers 1,260 hectares at 800 metres altitude on the Larzac plateau. Its cold, clear waters, its banks cut into peninsulas and its pebble coves make it ideal for dog swimming in a preserved corner of deep Aveyron. The paths that circle its banks cross landscapes of moorland, woodland and meadows typical of the Massif Central.
