About this place
From Lake Geneva to Nice through the finest massifs of the French Alps, the GR5 is the great alpine reference trail. From the Vanoise to the Écrins, from the Mercantour to the Alpes Maritimes, it unfolds breathtaking panoramas over hundreds of kilometres. Dogs in good physical condition can cover long sections, in particular the Vanoise and Briançonnais stages which are particularly accessible.
