A Perche ornais forest · Bellême (2,400 ha) is a beech-oak woodland renowned for its ancient trees and biodiversity. Situated around the medieval town of Bellême · it offers peaceful woodland trails in a Percheron bocage landscape. Dogs on a lead can walk typical Perche hollow lanes between coppice and tall forest · with numerous woodland ponds inhabited by amphibians.

Dogs allowed. Lead mandatory outside forest paths from 15 April to 30 June (protection of wildlife during the breeding season). For the rest of the year the dog must remain under control within 100 m of its owner. Natural water points (woodland ponds) depending on the area.
