La forêt de Brotonne · in the great Norman loop of the Seine · blends oaks · beeches and conifers in a unique forest peninsula of around 7,500 ha including neighbouring forests. Dogs on a lead can follow shaded bridle paths and trails overlooking the Seine in a preserved and little-visited Norman setting. The famous Chêne Cuve · a remarkable tree of France · can be visited via a purpose-built boardwalk.

Fine of up to 750 EUR for a dog not kept on a lead off the forest paths from 15 April to 30 June. Hunting forest: check hunting days on onf.fr.
