About this place

Explore 3, 6 or 12 kilometres along the Avre valley to discover the wildlife, flora and cultural heritage of the villages of Montigny-sur-Avre and Courteilles. This educational trail will delight you all along its paths and when you cross the Avre aqueduct.| The Avre is a river that rises in the Forêt domaniale de la Trappe in the Perche and flows into the Eure after 80 km. This discovery-packed walk presents a genuine mosaic of very diverse habitats in varied landscapes. The Avre valley, straddling two departments and two regions, has played a role in the history of Normandy. Churches, mills and châteaux punctuate this walk on both sides of the river. This educational trail presents the flora and fauna of the valley. Offered with variants, it lets you walk 3, 6 or 12 kilometres. The downloadable booklet lets you discover the natural environment and built heritage of the valley. Dogs allowed on a lead.
