About this place

The Collégiale Saint-André, the churches of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Aignan, the banks of the Eure, fountains and half-timbered houses are just some of the delights to discover around every corner in Chartres... with the cathedral always in your sights!| This intra-muros walk follows the narrow streets of the lower town of Chartres, running alongside the Eure to discover its beautifully restored built heritage. In the upper town, the cathedral dominates and impresses with the richness of its style, both inside and out. The many stained-glass windows, which cover 2,500 m², are characterised by a shade of blue known as bleu de Chartres. Circuit produced with the support of the Comité Départemental de Randonnée Pédestre d'Eure-et-Loir. Follow the yellow waymarks. Dogs allowed on a lead.
